When we were having our discussion in class about elections in Great Britain, it occured to me that things here in the good 'ol US of A were getting quite nasty. Allegations are swirling all over the country in various different races, and I wanted to make a big leap to the Indust. Revolution and Great Britain to point out that with any potential changes taking place, there is bound to be conflict. Take the Chartists. They wanted certain changes to take place. Same thing with the Anti-Corn Law League. Despite the fact that on the surface this stuff we covered in class may seem boring, it has quite a bit of standing in todays world. When people go to the polls, they often incur change. Same thing in Great Britain. Ok, I feel better, go back to studying your books for your quiz on Wednesday!!!
