Thanksgiving musings...

Hi everybody,
I hope you are all able to take the next couple of days to relax and take it easy, and at least be thankful for all the things you guys are able to have and be exposed to in your educational careers. I know I always am being reflective when it comes to comparing my own high school days, but you all have excellent opportunities, and you should all be thankful for what you have. I look back and see what I had in terms of honors/AP classes, and it is very scary how much my class didn't have, and what you all DO have. You guys have the opportunity to put your minds around alot of stuff that many pay thousands of dollars to get. I wish I had what you guys do in your courses.
Anyways, off of my soapbox, a couple of things to consider for the Monday we return: 1. We start WWI, and will therefor be moving very quickly through Christmas break to the end of WWII. Its fast, and you need to make sure if you are out, you make up the notes and keep up with the reading. If you know you will be out, you need to be aware the work is on the website, and it is expected that you will have it done to turn in. 2. The Sudan DBQ you have over the break needs to be done and ready to go for the first Monday back. Don't be late!!!
In conclusion, I hope you all have a very nice, restful Thanksgiving, and make sure you all eat lots of turkey!!! Gobble Gobble!!!
Yours in history,
Mr. Flickinger
